Bawean is a small island above Gresik. Alhamdulillah, I've got an opportunity to visit this island in 5 days. My campus are doing a social activities here.
From, gresik harbour, we can choose two kind of boat.. The slow one, reach Bawean in about 7 hours, but the fast one only needs 3 hours.. In these few months, the wave is quite high, so you can really feel the movement which is makes you dizzy..
This island is like madura, the people speak Bawean language, but it sounds like Madura language. Special things of these island, is that you can still find "kunang-kunang" at night, and the sky was very bright. The moon brighten the sky and the stars were spread everywhere.. But, it quite difficult to communicate because this island is lack of signal. We can only find it in someplace. The electricity is also limited. This island is going dark at night, only some house with generator are bright.
What I like about this island are the nature and also the people. The people are very friendly.
There's also small island, part of bawean, called Pulau Gili n Pulau Noko. From bawean, we need to take a small motor boat to go there. When the sea was receded, we need to walk quite far to reach the boat about 1,5 km. But, all are worth it. The white sand beach are very clean.
